Melanie Lunn was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Melanie graduated from East Jefferson High School, then attended Southeastern Louisiana University. Melanie was a legal secretary for 13 years before becoming a Louisiana's top Realtor. She has lived in Houma, Louisiana, Marrero, Louisiana, and El Dorado, Arkansas, before moving to Lafayette in 1971. She received her Real Estate license in 1979.

Melanie Lunn is married to Rodney Lunn and has two daughters, one stepdaughter, and one stepson. She is the grandmother of seven grandchildren and two grand-dogs!

In her spare time, Melanie loves to garden, bike, fish, travel, take tap dancing classes, and have fun…but most of all, she loves to be a wife, mom, and grandmother. Melanie's family loves Mardi Gras, and each year they all ride on a float…all four generations of them!
